There are changes in the world, regarding the adoption of technology and cultural habits different from those I experienced when growing up in times past, that are harder for me to accept. But I also notice that this is a sign that I am getting old. After all, isn’t it true that acceptance is a form of rejuvenation?
If you don’t accept, it’s a sign of old age. What is acceptance if not a glimpse of eternity? Society is focusing — and not less rightly so — on minimizing dependence on the use of modern tech, being chronically online, internet meme culture, and AI even as a companion. Learning how to deal with this new change, instead of running away from it, means being present rather than chasing peace of mind after losses.
Once understood, it is accepted.
